Packing salvageable items out to our facility lets us use the right cleaning method for each material in a controlled environment, while reconstruction proceeds without obstacles. The home gets cleaned faster, contents get cleaned better.
Specialty cleaning by material
Different items need different methods. Electronics get cleaned with anti-static specialty solvents to remove soot without damaging components. Textiles go through ozone chambers and odor-neutralizing wash cycles. Art and antiques are hand-cleaned with archival techniques. Documents and photos can be freeze-dried and recovered. We don’t lump everything into a single ‘wipe and bag’—each item is handled with the right approach.

Every item is photographed, tagged, and entered into a written inventory before it leaves your home. You and your adjuster receive a complete record of what was packed, what was cleaned, what was stored, and what could not be restored. What can actually be cleaned and restored?
Most furniture, clothing, kitchenware, electronics, art, and even many documents and photographs can be successfully restored. We assess each item and document anything that cannot be saved for your claim
How long is contents storage?
We store contents at no additional cost while reconstruction is in progress on a Poseidon-managed restoration. Pack-back is scheduled to coincide with substantial completion of the rebuild.
Is contents cleaning covered by my policy?
Yes, contents coverage is a standard part of homeowner’s policies. We bill your carrier directly and document everything.
